Jacqueline

Vocals/Acoustic Guitar

Jacqueline

Jacqueline's love for music and performing began with the "Banana Boat Song" at the tender age of two. Growing up in a house where music was always important, she was encouraged to pursue her musical interests through years of organ, piano and voice lessons.

Now one of Calgary's finest voice teachers, Jacqueline brings a wealth of musical experience to the band. Jacqueline's credits include professionally produced musicals, top placement in several singing competitions and three as a lead singer in Ten-24.

With her range, power and outstanding vocal talent, Jacqueline first draws the audience into her music, and then brings it to life for them.

Bernadette

Vocals/Acoustic Guitar

Bernadette

Lead singer Bernadette's deep love for music and performing began at the age of 4 by entertaining her family... constantly. With maturity and understanding for music few vocalists can match. Bernadette is the essence of soul, and her confident vocal styling brings out the best of rock n' roll, blues, country, gospel or jazz.

Her deep love for music and performance makes her a spotlight entertainer. Bernadette sings from the heart.

You may have seen Bernadette in one of Bonavista Players musical productions, singing at local vocal contests, or playing with her former band, Ten-24. Her main musical influences are varied and include Billie Holiday, Elton John, Janis Joplin and James Taylor.

Bernadette is excited about joining some of her past Ten-24 members in "Groove Kitch'n" and is looking forward to rockin' the house down!

Dave

Lead Guitar/Vocals

Dave

Dave (Noodles) first picked up the electric guitar at the age of 13. His passion was fueled by players the likes of Jimmy Page, Hendrix, S.R.V. and Van Halen. As a young lad he would sit in his woodshed (bedroom) and practice for hours and hours honing his technical and shredding abilities. Dave didn't realize that his passion would actually be his life's career.

A graduate of the Mount Royal Jazz Performance program, Dave has the ability to cover just about anything that is required. Yes, in his early days it was all about the rock and roll, but like a fine wine you just keep getting better with time and develop appreciation for other forms of music.

Dave has been active in the Alberta music scene for over 15 years playing in many top 40/party groups. He has been, and is currently a private guitar instructor as well as a music studio owner.

Being the newest member, Dave compliments Groove Kitch'n with his energy, professionalism and showmanship. He looks forward to entertaining you at your next function.

Bob

Bass Guitar/Vocals (and other techy stuff - lights/sounds etc.)

Bob

Bob started playing music on the piano and the accordion at around eight years old. From there he played the trombone and then the bass trombone in junior and senior high school bands and went on to start guitar and then bass guitar at 15.

Past project include session work with the Eli Band, which evolved into the Jonathon Elwood Band playing corporate parties and some bars, then back to the studio. From there, Bob went on to join the Momentum Band, again playing corporate parties and some bars, this led to the party band Crossover, then to the Legion band Kitch's Kountry and now here.

Bob likes to have fun while playing and has been noticed as being "quite animated" on stage (and with his new 'wireless', off stage as well).

Bob's musical influences include Chris Squire of "Yes", Geddy Lee of "Rush", Roger Glover, John Paul Jones, John Entwhistle and let's not forget Gary Thain of "Uriah Heep".

Hammer

Drums/Vocals

Hammer

John "the Hammer" Hamilton loves to play, and it shows! He loves all kinds of music and truly believes that music is the universal language. His influences range from the rock-solid pound of John Bonham; to Steve Gadd's skill, subtlety and variety; to the speed and precision of Buddy Rich.

Playing since age 12, John honed his "chops" playing R&B, Funk, Soul, Rock and Country. John played his first gig at age 14 with Moonshine. From there he moved on to a Top 40 group called Tunstile led by Calgary musician Joel Spire. John has also done stints with various show bands and musical theatre in Calgary and area.
